- PROJECTS   May 3, 2008 Black Barbershop Outreach Program / California: The DAP Foundation will screen African American men in Los Angeles County, San Diego County, San Bernardino County, Oakland, San Francisco and Sacramento for diabetes and hypertension in black owned barbershops in all regions.   May 10, 2008 Black Barbershop Outreach Program / Chicago: The Dap Foundation will partner with community based organizations and The Department of Human Servcice in Chicago to screen African American Men for diabetes and hypertension in black owned barbershops. The DAP Foundation Community Diabetes Resource Center: The DAP Foundation will open the first diabetes resource center in Inglewood, California March 2008. The center will provide educational materials and seminars free to the community. FALL 2008 /Black Barbarshop Outreach and Exchange in Cuba: The DAP Foundation and the Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program will travel to Havana, Cuba to share and exchange with the Cuban Health Care Delivery System.
